Community members will now have a chance to access all food programs, which include Senior Boxes, The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), Waste Not Weekly, and a choice based monthly food pantry box by attending a distribution in their local area.

COMMUNITY FOOD COUNCIL PROGRAMS
The CFC has a variety of programs to increase access to healthy food through out DNATL, including food recovery, community food forests, Pacific Pantry, and more. Click the Program links to learn more about our different programs or check out the menu at the top of the page.

Food security means reliable access to nutritious, culturally relevant food for all people to live an active, healthy life. We work with community partners to research the factors affecting access in our community, identify gaps and challenges, and create solutions.
PACIFIC PANTRY

Pacific Pantry is a choice-based food pantry model that allows clients to “shop” in the pantry, choosing the foods that go into their food boxes. The only one of its kind in the county, the model creates a dignified experience for clients, allows for cultural and dietary food choices, and minimizes food waste. We choose local and organic products whenever possible.
EAT LOCAL

DNATL CFC is working to build a vibrant local food economy and regional food system that supports local producers and provides fresh, healthy food to all.
EDUCATION

Nutrition, cooking, farming, and gardening education is key to empowering our community with the knowledge and skills to access and choose healthier foods. We offer workshops through out the year.
FOOD FOREST

The Food Forest Project offers many opportunities for volunteers to get their hands dirty and participate in sustainable agriculture training.
