​As part of our quest to improve local food systems, we collaborate with several organizations throughout the region to connect new and aspiring farmers to the resources will set them up for success.

Climate Resilient Farming


College of the Redwoods and North Coast Growers’ Association are excited to provide the Climate Resilient Farmer Training Program, providing long term and sustainable strategies for climate resilience and adaptations. Graduates will earn a certificate from College of the Redwoods in Climate Resilient Farming.

Curriculum is designed for participants from Humboldt and DelNorte Counties who are in their first 5 years of farming and prioritizes spaces for socially disadvantaged farmers.

  • Apply for Producer's Certificate from Del Norte County Agricultural Commission - LINK 
  • Submit to Ag Commission Inspection.
  • Submit Vendor Application to Farmers Market Organizers
    • Saturday Market Application
    • Wednesday Market Application
  • Apply for Class "O" business license to sell at the Wednesday Market - LINK
  • Obtain Certificate of insurance for Saturday Market - MORE INFO
