The Del Norte Harvest Box , our Multi-Producer CSA & Grocery Subscription Program brings the farmers' market to you! Become a member of our program and have access to locally produced products year round. Members can create their own custom weekly grocery bag, choose from curated packages, and add one time or recurring items to their order from our online store. Product choices include local meat, eggs, milk, butter, cheese, fish, sprouts, produce, bakery items, coffee, and more. |

Harvest Box Policies and Procedures
Before ordering your Del Norte Harvest Box please carefully read through all of the following guidelines.
The Del Norte Harvest Box combines a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model and grocery subscription into one. In a CSA model, the consumer agrees to subscribe for a number of weeks to purchase a "share" of the seasonal harvest. The agreement allows the producer needed capital for the season and ease of planning, knowing that what they produce will be purchased. In return the consumer receives fresh, local products direct from their local producer. By purchasing the Del Norte Harvest Box, you are committing to purchasing "shares" from local producers. The program provides our local producers with a consistent weekly income and gives consumers direct access to local products. You also will be allowed to shop in the store and add items to your subscription on a weekly basis. Store access accounts only are also available.
Our first pick up & deliveries for 2022 started Friday, June 10th and continue every Friday until the end of October.
Harvest Box Schedule: We need ample time to relay your order to local producers, get items delivered, and package up customer orders. Orders are available for pick up or delivery Fridays from 12-5. To get your order in for that week, you must be signed up for a share by Sunday or ordered your store items before Monday at noon.
Membership Fee: To participate in the Del Norte Harvest Box program, we require a one time $15 membership fee. This fee covers the costs of 2 cooler bags and ice packs for your orders and staff time for managing the program. You will be charged at the time of your first order. If this cost is prohibitory please reach out to us directly.
How do I get started? Click on “Sign Up” button above which will direct you to our Harvest Box ordering platform. The Del Norte Harvest Box is hosted through Farmigo, a website platform that helps manage all subscriptions, payments, and logistics. All Del Norte Harvest Box Subscribers will have online access to their own accounts. Please make sure to write down your login and password when you sign up. This account is how you will make payments, make changes to your subscription, and add items from the store. A confirmation of your account, pickup/delivery location details, and start date will be automatically emailed to you when you have successfully signed up. If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder, if you did not receive one then your order did not go through. You can join our program at any time. When you sign up, it will notify you of the first available pickup or delivery date for your order.
Shares, Weekly & Biweekly, & Store Purchases:.
Farm Store Access Only
If you decide you do not want to sign up for a weekly share but want access to our store, you can choose the Farm Store Access only, which still requires a $15 membership fee but allows you to shop the store weekly and choose whatever you want for that week. The Store opens with updated items Saturday-Monday at noon for Friday distribution. Orders must be put in by Monday at noon.
Store Purchases
If you do sign up for a weekly share you can add one-time purchases to your order Saturday-Monday at noon, for Friday distribution, by logging in your account to access the DN Harvest Box store or using the store link. Add items to your cart, check out, and those items will be added to your existing share for the upcoming week. The Store opens with updated items Saturday-Monday at noon for Friday distribution. Orders must be put in by Monday at noon for the store.
Recurring Item
If you don’t see a share option available for a particular variety or flavor of product, you can visit the store to view all available products. Once you put an item in your cart, you can click Update Recurring in the top right corner of the cart, allowing you to receive that item once, weekly, or biweekly (every other week). Essentially, it will allow you to create a weekly or biweekly share of any item in the store. Orders must be put in by Monday at noon. New items will be added to the store weekly when available.
Payments: We accept payment via Paypal Account (credit card), Credit Card, or in person EBT.
EBT: We are excited to offer our harvest box program to Calfresh/EBT customers starting on Friday, Sept 9. Thanks to a grant from Ecology Center, we will be waiving the $15 membership fee for EBT customers. At this time, EBT customers must choose Pick Up only, so that they can pay for their order with their card at pickup. To use your EBT card for Harvest Box Subscription please follow these steps when signing up:

- Often in a CSA model, you commit to purchase a “share” of a farmer’s harvest in advance and receive your share for a certain number of weeks. When you sign up for a share in the Del Norte Harvest Box, you will receive that item continuously until you decide to cancel your share of that item, which you can do with a week’s notice.
Shares
Build your own selection of shares (produce, milk, eggs, meat, etc) or choose one of our Harvest Box Packages which range from 5-10 pre-selected items. Signing up for shares or adding shares to your order must be done by Sunday at midnight for Friday distribution.
Weekly or Bi-weekly (Every other week/twice a month)
You can also choose to receive your shares on a weekly basis or bi-weekly basis. You can have some shares you get weekly and other items you receive biweekly (every other week/twice a month)
Farm Store Access Only
If you decide you do not want to sign up for a weekly share but want access to our store, you can choose the Farm Store Access only, which still requires a $15 membership fee but allows you to shop the store weekly and choose whatever you want for that week. - Bring your EBT card with you for Friday pick up. Your card will be swiped and charged at time of pick up. Please note, all other harvest box orders are paid before pick up. If you do not pick up your bag and pay, we will not be able to continue your participation in the program.

Refund / Credit: If you believe you deserve a credit for poor quality, damaged, or missing product, please email Marina MacNeill, [email protected]. We will evaluate cases individually. Be sure to include what day/time you picked up the produce, how it was stored, and pictures if possible. We want to share the best quality local products as possible, feedback helps us improve our systems and catch issues early on.

Delivery: Delivery happens on Friday’s from 12:00-4:00 pm. We service Crescent City, Fort Dick, Smith River, Hiouchi, Gasquet, and Klamath. The cost is $6/delivery. The driver will deliver a cooler bag with ice packs that contains your order and leave it at your door. You are responsible for leaving last week’s cooler bag and ice packs at the door for your driver to take for your next order.

Out of Town or Cancellation: You have the flexibility to manage your subscription from your account. If you are going to be out of town, you can log in and put a hold on your box for the number of weeks you will not need your box. If you decide to stop your subscription completely, you can set a permanent hold on your box. We understand that things come up suddenly, but if you are not able to put a hold by Sunday then we will order your items from the producer on Monday. Holds or cancellations after Monday at noon means we will have ordered and paid for your items. If you find that you will not be available to recieve your order on Friday past the cancel deadline please try to find someone to pick up your bag or donate it to the Pacific Pantry. Bag orders canceled after Monday at noon means our small non-profit organizations pays for the cost of these items.
